David Campbell began working with Geiger Associates in 1979 and became an Associate and head of the Vancouver, BC office in 1982. In 1988 he helped found Geiger Engineers in New York City and managed the firm from its inception to 2023. In his forty-five years of engineering practice, he has had a significant role in over 50 large spectator sports facilities. In addition, David has provided construction engineering consulting to contractors for numerous buildings, long span structures, and sports facilities. He has extensive experience in live entertainment rigging and has consulted to many productions including Opening Ceremonies for the Olympic Games, the Pan Am Games, half time shows for the NFL Superbowl, the Academy Awards, and the Grammys. He is a member of the ASCE Tensile Membrane Structures Standard Committee, a member of IASS, as well as IAVM and the Entertainment Services and Technology Association. David has authored numerous technical papers on long-span roof and sports facility structures. David was included in Marquis Who’s Who in America in 2022 as a top professional in recognition of his career achievements.
