Canada Place, Roof Replacement

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada — 2011
Canada Place (formerly Canada Harbour Place), claimed to be the most photographed building in Canada, is a mixed-use complex built on a pier in Vancouver's harbor for the 1986 World Exposition. A key element of the complex's unique architecture is the sculptural tensile membrane roof of the main exhibit hall, part of the British Columbia Trade and Convention Centre. Geiger Engineers was the Engineer of Record for the fabric roof replacement in 2010. Geiger Associates, Ltd. was the design and engineering consultant for the original exhibit hall roof.
