Geiger Engineers provided the structural design and analysis for NBC's Million Second Quiz outdoor set in New York City. The 55 ft (17 m) tall by 80 ft (24 m) diameter television game show set, temporary seating terraces, lighting towers and ancillary structures were erected on the roof of an existing building in mid-town Manhattan for the prime time portions of the live show. Geiger Engineers provided structural design for the temporary structures, shop drawings for the custom-fabricated structural work, erection engineering, site representation, and structural evaluation of the existing building for the significant loads it would see during the installation and erection, and the show's run.
